Thank you John, I really needed this. I have friends who will go as far as criticize the conspiratorial talking heads and reject all their bogus, but will still gulp down everything Trump says. You’re 100% right, it’s been a long, exhausting ride. It’s been over ten years, I’m really fed up with it now. It’s starting to become beyond frustrating, and really makes me lose hope that the right can ever recover from its populist bravado trash. This piece helped me, knowing there are many out there sick of the crap from both sides and feel they have no home. Thanks again, John

The epitome of Congress not doing their job is a Government shutdown. And to make it even worse, while thousands of innocent federal workers are suddenly without pay, Congress continues to get their’s. Meanwhile, both sides blaming the other, and being disingenuous with the facts, And 90% of incumbents will get re-elected, in a legislative body with a 28% approval rating. Hard to find any accountability, or sense of urgency, in any of this. I subscribe to this website because it’s one of the few political landscapes with INTEGRITY.

Members of Congress, as well as POTUS, should not only not get paid during a shutdown, but should be fined daily until they get their act together and do their jobs.
