I love movies but quit watching the awards shows years ago. It was like getting a leftist Amway presentation crammed down my throat in the middle of my entertainment dinner.

Academy Awards and the Golden Globe awards TV numbers are down 70 percent since their high-water marks. I suspect some of it has to do with celebrity political comments. It's hard to listen to people who tells others what to do but don't want you looking behind their curtain.

Getting political commentary at award shows would be roughly the same as you and Bernie interrupting your No BS Zone podcast with a few minutes of Shakespeare. Perhaps meaningful to each other as you show off your acting chops, but not what we tuned in for!

I'm going to pitch this idea to Bernie.

Oh Bernie-O

Wherefore art thou, Bernie-O?

I look forward to seeing Bernie dressed in a doublet, velvet shirt, knee breeches and cloak.
