But…But…But…Sir Bernie…Dan Rather and the left kept telling the American public that there is NO Liberal Bias in the media. They claim that liberal media bias is a mythical concept, like time travel, inter-dimensional planes of existence, and The Bible (when its ideas & mandates for living are inconvenient to them; if the left thinks it can use Biblical texts to condemn Trump, MAGA, or conservative hypocrisy, well then yeah…quoting Scripture is great).

Sir Bernie, I realize that you’ve written several books covering this very topic, but you’re WRONG! How do I know? Because Dan Rather and Bryan Gumbel and several of your former colleagues say so! So THERE!

Yessiree Sir Bernie! Those fair & impartial journalists really showed YOU! Although they probably could have saved a lot of time and space by simply responding to your books and articles by saying—-

“OH YEAH! Well I’m rubber & YOU’RE GLUE and whatever you say bounces off me & STICKS to YOU! Nyaaa Nyaaa Nyaaa Nyaaa Nyaaa Nyaaa!”

Bernie's on the mark once again- it's exactly how this man Eric went down.

"Mistakes of judgement" is a catch-all politicians use to excuse doing what they damn well please. $3 bills have more credibility. Bernie highlights an equally bad characteristic of today's journalism as well as the slimy way politics too often works. Disgusting. Trump, no angel himself, however is trying to change the culture and predicably is running into major headwinds.

Trying to change the culture how exactly?

Change status quo.....

Well, making things worse is changing the culture!

Because you don't like what he's doing doesn't make it wrong.

Scott Harold Kidwell's avatar

That's true. And because some like what he's doing that doesn't make it right.

Again, Bernie, you are a funny guy!

Stephen A. Smith is not a Democrat, nor does he use vulgar language that I know of. Chris a Bill O do occasionally, and many highly educated men and women use vulgar language quite a bit. It's gotten quite in vogue as of late. Abortion, men in girls sports, ... is entirely another matter.

Perfect illustration on why they’re called, “Fake News”!

A sorry wretched collection of Lying self serving Douche Nozzles!

Oh, like "twatwaffles?"

I like that sentence: "It buys you silence." It's the the Democrat-Media Complex version of "omerta".

There are very few journalists around and Bernie is one of them. I grew up with Walter Cronkite where one could believe the reporting he made just as I respect the reporting of Bernie. It is a trust earned by not being afraid to call people out who are like Swalwell or fraudsters etc. I don't watch any network or cable news shows as the bias is horrible. I do read some of Fox News articles but don't take them as gospel. Bernie and Bill O'Reilly are the ones that I listen to and I am not afraid to state my beliefs if I see something that I don't agree with.

Nice to see here another Bill O. follower. I also do very much like Chris Cuomo, Stephen A. Smith, and, yes, yes, I like Bill Maher. I can't help it, I don't really mind his vulgar language because he is likeable and sensible to me and I love his sense of humour. Besides, he's not a hateful guy.

I believe Bill Maher is an educated man and as such he should have a vocabulary that could be used that doesn't include vulgar language. Vulgar language is usually used by people who cannot express themselves in any other way. Chris Cuomo and Stephen A. Smith are democrats and as such I find it hard to like someone who condones the murder of the unborn, promotes men in girls sports, homosexuality, and the butchering of young people who are not old enough to make informed decisions about their bodies. They are entitled to their opinions but that does not make them right. I don't have any problems with homosexuals but I do when they try to force me to accept their deviant life style. Nice to see another Bill O. follower too.

I suspect there are others on both sides who have committed "mistakes in judgement". Maybe or maybe not to the degree of Swalwell's allegations and maybe we will find out if the House Oversight Committee's subpoena the Office of Congressional Workplace Rights (OCWR) succeeds in “the release of all awards and settlements paid pursuant to Section 415 of the Congressional Accountability Act prior to December 12, 2018 for misconduct by Members of Congress.”

And another point, while the media works to hide or otherwise not report on misconduct by democrats, they manufacture allegations against Republicans that get a lot of air time - the Russia collusion being the most damaging, but the allegations against Kavanaugh were outrages lies still bandied about by those who don't just hate Trump, but Republicans in general. And all the sexual abuse allegations against Trump that get widespread coverage while similar allegations against Clinton are dismissed and ridiculed. There is a clear and undeniable double standard.

I have no doubts that leadership on both sides and their media cheerleaders are well aware of tawdry behaviors of their team members and have no qualms about using it as a leverage to keep their votes in line. A tale as old as time, surely to be repeated again and again.

And who can forget three winners from my area? Randy "Duke" Cunningham (aka The King of Corruption), Bob Filner (aka The Creep), and Duncan Hunter Jr (aka The Grifter). There are more from around here but these three were special.
