If You Don't Like Mamdani's Socialism -- You Just Might Be a You Know What
Yes, a racist ...
Leave it to the New York Times to publish a piece by one of its opinion columnists that claims that “a lot” of the attacks on Zohran Mamdani are simply “thinly veiled racism.”
In her column, Tressie McMillan Cotton writes that, “Mamdani is, of course, the young, charismatic, charming and decidedly left-of-center candidate upsetting the political status quo. He is also Muslim and of Indian and Ugandan descent. The recent political attacks against him are coming from all directions — Republicans, Democrats and the real estate lobby. Some of these attacks are about political interests — of course, landlords wouldn’t like affordable housing and tenant-friendly Mamdani. But a lot of these attacks are thinly veiled racism.”
Nowhere in her column does the word “socialist” appear. Nowhere do we hear about his promise, if elected mayor of New York in November, to let people ride city buses free of charge. Nowhere is there a reference to city-owned and run grocery stories
