It's as clear as a bell to me that when people hold a purposely naive view of human nature they are forced to shunt the blame elsewhere when people choose destructive behaviors. So we are left with notions following their logical conclusions such as gun manufacturers being sued for providing weapons, car manufacturers for not making their vehicles theft proof and that an oppressive "system" is responsible for all bad behavior among acting out groups. Instead , words people say and the way they might say it becomes the prosecutable crime and the not guilty become the guilty. I call it " 180 World". Thank you Sir Bernie for another thought provoking piece.

Deviancy continues to be defined downward. Tortured legal logic so as to tolerate antisocial behavior. You can’t even defend yourself or others on the subway.....

Let's just call it the "Theft Tax". Minnesota is now reviewing Bias as an additional charge in a crime similar to hate crimes. To quote the Minneapolis Star Tribune:

"In 2021, there were 301 bias incidents against "persons, property or society" (such as hateful leaflets) in the state, according to the U.S. Department of Justice. More than 60% were motivated by racial bias, 16% by religious bias and another 16% by sexual orientation, the report showed."

I'm wondering how the good Democrats in my state interrupt Bias?
