Democrats in Maine hate Trump MORE than they love their children and their fellow Mainers. They are destroying the way life USED to be in Maine, especially for small businesses and working families. It’s disgraceful and terribly sad.

I have to say that I agreed with a lot of what John had to say today which surprised me. As for 60 minutes and the network news, they have gone too far with the bias. News should be fair and balanced. Walter Cronkite was a true journalist IMHO. Having done something for 50 years doesn't mean a program is doing it right now and believing they know better than others is not only arrogance but foolish. I was a Revenue Officer for the IRS and our Division Chief once told me "You sometimes have to tell someone they have an ugly baby" and that happened to 60 minutes.

I didn't care for Bernies comment about Trumps obsession with the election being rigged "I mean, I think in a mentally way". That was one step too far. Everyone is entitled to their opinion right or wrong and how strong that opinion is to them as long as it doesn't lead to actions that are wrong.

As for voting for Plattner just so that the democrats gain control of the senate is wrong. When hatred goes that far for Trump or anyone then that is IMO a mental problem. We need to put American people first before party and vote for the one who comes closest to our beliefs although that is hard to find anymore as it all revolves around power and control.

It seems to me that the Dems best strategy after they take control of one or both houses of congress is to impeach Trump once for show, just politically neuter him, and make sure he stays in office as the boogie man they need for the 2028 election season. And also not allow Trump to become collegial with them as he might try to save himself by kicking Maga to the curb. Perhaps the best thing for republicans after they lose the house and maybe senate is to have the Dems impeach and convict Trump! This would enrage the MAGA base for 2028 (others too), and maybe Vance will pull back on the nastiness and incivility sufficient to attract independent and down ballot voters back their way in 2028.

As for Platner, maybe his slogan should be "Sure I'm a NAZI, But I'm better than Donald Trump!"
