After a hearty gaffaw from the conservative Remnant ( thanks for the lend Jonah) allow me to thank you and all of the other truth seekers/tellers out there for giving us outlets through which to escape this insanity. Will there ever be a major straight news organization able to profitably operate in this nation? If so, I am fairly convinced that I certainly will not live to see it.

His Utmost Excellency, The Emperor, offers a bit of entertainment from when we were children. Try to imagine Donald Trump in the role of Danny Kaye, while Hannity, Carlson, Ingraham, Murdoch and the rest of the liars sing along In the chorus.

Why is it anyone who crosses Trump's path gets run over?

Secretaries, lawyers, assistances ,advisors ,Fox , cabinet members ,on and on. They all eventually get run over.

And then makes voter contributions his own piggy bank. He's no longer a Republican and the party continues to support him just in case he wins the Presidency. How in heavens name does this grifter -in-chief get away with it. He's making America look very bad.

I suggest Fox find a new Pillow Guy. He’s next.

I’d like to see CBS mentioned as often as Fox. The dwell on Fox here is interesting. Isn’t that right, Leslie?

<Former Fox News anchor Bill O’Reilly weighed in on the settlement, writing that, “This is what happens when money becomes more important than honest information. Since I left FNC [Fox News Channel], the template changed from ‘Fair and Balanced’ to ‘tell the audience what it wants to hear.’ And millions of Trump voters, to this day, want to believe the 2020 election was rigged.”>

Fox News has always been about ratings, more than journalism., at least since I began watching it - about 2002 The once richly talented maestro of Fox News - Roger Ailes, even admitted it, somewhat obliquely, when he once defensively said "I'm not in the politics business, I'm in the ratings business." Mr. Ailes saw a demographic that was alienated from the MSM and, in general, angry at national cultural shifts - aka future Trumpsters.

Mr. Ailes ensured that Fox News was balanced. The balanced was between good reporting, slanted reporting, good discussion and various degrees of viscous right-wight wing talk (not to mention titillation). Mr. O’Reilly’s show showed all of these factors. I think a lot of future Trumpsters were enamored by O'Reilly's volatility just as current Trumpsters are enamored by Trump's volatility.

But Fox News was obviously playing heavily to future Trumpsters. That could be seen by stories that were played up on Fox and by stories that were played in an endless loop.

The interesting question is how Mr. Ailes would have handled the situation with President Trump and the aftermath of the 2020 election. He may well have handled differently, but he certainly would have been in a trying situation. After all, Trump had been a cash cow and held sway over a corner or Fox News’ base. Just look at the difficult situation he was in with the aftermath of the Megan (sp?) Kelly/first Republican debate. How did he handle that?

Mr. Bias can just stop hating Trump and FoxNews. He certainly loved it when he was a featured guest. I have had enough and my next act is to unsubscribe.
