Has anyone asked MLB Commissioner, Rob Manfred, why he is holding the All Star game in Atlanta, 4 years after cancelling it over GA voting Laws. Laws that are the exact same, and were referred to by Biden as “Jim Crow laws”. Incidentally, Black voter turnout actually increased.
Haven’t heard one word politically. No protests. Please make sense of this!!!!
You and Bernie are making a difference. Don’t change.
Bill O'Reilly said on his show that President Biden's doc did not have patient-doctor privilege because 1) the taxpayer picked up the doc's tab and 2) because there's a public interest in the POTUS' health.
Does he just pull all these things out of his backside? Doesn't he have a lawyer on his crack research team to advise him on legal matters? Or maybe he does, but he doesn't listen to his lawyer.
If I pay the tab for my wife to see a doctor, does that give me the right to demand that he divulge whatever I want to know? If Medicare or Medicaid pays for someone's doctor's visit, does the doctor-patient privilege not apply? That a patient's health is arguably a matter of public interest does not negate a doctor's private relationship with his patient.
Maybe it's true that Mr. O'Reilly is really trying to convince himself that everything he says on his shows is fact-based when he repeatedly broadcasts this on his show. Previously, I thought he was trying to indoctrinate his viewers. I think he desperately wants to believe what he wants to believe.
The Epstein story is the biggest non-story ever. Alan Dershowitz, who should know, was on TV last night and said that a list does not exist. There are names in the file mentioned by accusers, but they have been redacted by the court. Those names will never be released.
I'm not sure Dershowitz is the best person to opine on this, but yeah... I don't think there's a list. It's just amusing to me that the people who turned this into an enormous conspiracy (for self-serving reasons) are now the ones being hurt by it. And for whatever reason, every time Trump weighs on in this issue, he sounds more and more like he has something to hide. Very weird.
Not necessarily, Bill O'Reilly notwithstanding. If the so-called Epstein files implicated President Trump as well as prominent national Democrats, there would be bipartisan interests in keeping them under wraps. That said, I'm skeptical that President Trump was involved in Epstein's child trafficking or even had knowledge of it at the time.
What AG Bondi claims doesn't exist is an Epstein client list. Presumably, the Epstein files contain affidavits, FBI reports, witness statements, GJ transcripts, investigative reports, etc. Again, the identities of innocent people - including victims - who dealt with Epstein must be protected. That's why we need a neutral special counsel who has tough skin and integrity.
I think that's right - there may not be an actual "list" per se. But there are certainly MANY files, with LOTS of information that should be released to the public, after careful review with appropriate redactions.
ICE agents should at least wear appropriate uniforms and have badges. But my information is that attacks on and doxxing of ICE agents is rare. It's just that the relatively few instances are on a never-ending loop on various cable channels and are talked about nonstop on right-wing radio shows. That's how, for example, so many are afraid to fly or are afraid to go in the ocean. Plane crashes and shark attacks are frequently given disproportionate coverage.

NPR and PBS are high visibility scared cows for too many. They are not going away!
Probably not.
Hope not!
I don't want them to "go away", I just don't want to pay for them.

If he was somehow implicated, that would have been revealed by the Biden DOJ. Thanks for responding.

I haven't followed this story, so my question is why Republicans voted to block access to files that do not exist?
Excellent question, Tim.

Yes, defund NPR and PBS. Second issue; investigating the health of President Biden is a dumb investigation at this point.
