So what should we make of FBI Director James Comey’s conclusions that Hillary Clinton didn’t actually break the law? First, Comey says she was “extremely careless” with the nation’s secrets but wasn’t guilty, in his view, of “gross negligence,” which is a crime. Question: How is extremely careless different from gross negligence? Isn’t this one of those distinctions without a difference?
