Hi John, I enjoyed, and had fun watching your interviews. Hearing differing opinions is a learning lesson for me. I stay open- minded, and critical thinking is a must.

John, I’ve been active in politics for 60 years and this is a first time I have heard of principles first. After listening to your short program and the speakers you had that attended. I come to the conclusion that moderates in both parties are probably left and right of Center.

Better angels are similar to this group. That is my judgment. Groups, such as this would have more influence in municipal and county government elections. John, please SUM up the Weeknd meetings.

When I saw you had Joe Walsh, I was expecting some Rocky Mountain Way! :(

Fun fact: My mother-in-law used to babysit Joe Walsh of The Eagles. They grew up on the same block in Ohio.

Walsh stated "we have a f...ing dictator in the White House." As a former elected official in the United States government, Walsh apparently does not understand that our Republic elects a nominee to be President. The Constitution of The United States of America does not allow an individual to be a dictator. When Walsh made that statement he lost all credibility.

Yeah, Walsh was obviously wrong. If he had said "wanna-be dictator" or something along those lines, I think he'd have a point. I don't think declaring him a literal dictator helps any argument he's trying to make.

The other guests were well spoken and had valid points. I am looking forward to more of your podcasts from the summit.

>>The tariffs will "raise taxes" on imports.

Yes, taxes paid by Americans, with the raised costs passed onto consumers.

>>Tariffs are a good way to make cheap Chinese products have level pricing with American goods.

Otherwise known as higher prices for consumers.

>>Buy American anyway.

Lots of American goods are built with foreign material, thus the cost of American goods will rise as well.

>> And yes, higher tariffs on imported raw materials will probably raise American prices on some goods. Depending on the raw materials tariffed.

Prices will rise sharply, and Trump has proposed (or actually applied) blanket tariffs on all imported goods from select countries. If he gets his way, American consumers will be crushed.

That's not really the message of the summit, though I'm sure some of the people there absolutely believe that. Lots of criticism of the Democratic party there.

I do find it interesting that taxes seems to be your single-issue vote. I think most people voted for Trump to bring down prices, for which he's doing the exact opposite.

Tariffs are taxes, and Trump's tariffs will skyrocket prices.

Can you believe that Bill O'Reilly actually said that all this "hysteria" about tariffs causing inflation is nonsense, that tariffs might or might not raise prices? I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I think O'Reilly is stooping so low that he'll have trouble straightening up.
