I’m sure the base cared at one time. I’m saying I’m not sure if conservative talking heads ever really cared or just supported the regime the base wanted. I used to follow Andrew Klavan but he just put out a video saying “the people want Trump” and “the intellectual right hates the base” and “this party is populist now”. I was so angry and disappointed. He was one of the few holdouts I thought. So anyone who questions his majesty is now an intellectual I guess. It’s repulsive

It was at one time. I did enough volunteer work for the GOP back in the day to know that the grassroots genuinely cared about the Constitution and conservatism. But that sentiment is nearly extinct among the Trump establishment.
