Anyone paying attention saw the trouble coming. A white cop kills an unarmed black teenager, shoots him six times. Who didn’t think there would be mayhem in the streets of Ferguson if the cop were not indicted? Those who called for justice had their own handy definition of the word: first, an indictment, then a trial, and then a conviction for murder. That would be justice. Anything else would be injustice.
