Good morning Bernie. You've swerved smack into something that I have seen happening for many years but that has exponentially grown since the " guidance" issued in the Obama Administration. I approach this from two angles. First, way back in the 1970's, I crossed the color line...in Birmingham,Alabama when it came to choice of mate and friends. This began a long and sometimes steep learning curve as I became acutely aware of social realities that my mostly white and safe background obscured from my view. I began to see the painful realities of the failure liberal federal policies, sold as a help but in actuality reinforced second class citizenship for empoverished populations. I could see the destruction of nuclear family structure and the amount of angry young men it produced. I also saw how many liberal white people, likely trying to assuage personal feelings of guilt, persisted in giving what amounted to a patronizing pat on the head instead of opening the doors of opportunity to true ascension into the societal mainstream.

Second, my midlife career change to teaching in public schools lasted for 20 years. I taught in Title One majority/minority schools the entire time in urban DFW, Texas. Why not? My school kids very much looked like my natural kids. I quickly observed that the lack of fathers in our population was a massive unaddressed problem while the " generous" white hand of liberalism came in to empower , not the kids, but helplessness ,resentment and disfunction. Not much has changed. So where do we go from here? It is so easy to feel hopeless.

Their anti-meritocracy and its equal outcome society are material fixes to perceived racism. True academic achievement in the affected groups are actual benchmarks against racism that white liberals can’t imagine. To do so will require even handed consequences.

Now, it looks like VP Pence had classified documents. Years ago, when I left a company that I was with for several years, any paperwork related to work could not be taken. I took a coffee cup, bobble head, and other personal items. First question, what was your experience leaving CBS what you could take. Second why should politicians be permitted to take any documentation if it was created on the job?

Sir Bernie & Sir John—-I have read that one complaint from liberal critics is that the black kids were suspended at a much a higher rate than white kids who committed the same or equally egregious offenses on school property. I don’t know how accurate that criticism is—-would either Sir Bernie or Sir John care to address that issue?

I can certainly add it to this week's Q&A for both of us to answer, but offhand, I know nothing about that.... and I kind of doubt Bernie does either.

I recall reading something about what the Emperor is speaking of. However, from my point of view when I see these statistics published by educational institutions and other agencies, I take them with a grain of salt. I have been involved in manufacturing and quality my entire career. Statistics always tell you the results but never tell you the why. Manufacturing companies have tools to break these statistics down to determine the Root Cause. Case in point; statistics at the top-level show that women earn less than men and this is true. But when you analyze the underlining root cause you find that women tend to choose careers such as teaching or nursing that won't pay the same as someone in chemical engineering or a doctor. Those statistics will change in the future as more women are graduating from college and obtaining MBA's and other degrees than men. I accept the statistics that young black kids are suspended more than whites. But without determining the root cause any corrective action is meaningless.

Minneapolis traffic violations are down 90 percent. This is not due to people behaving it's because of these same racial studies that minorities are pulled over more than whites. To solve the problem Minneapolis police are not enforcing traffic violations. So yes; Minneapolis traffic violations are down 90 percent. In their minds, problem solved.

Greetings Tim Holmquist—- I too take these stats with large amounts of salt because I know stats can easily be skewed In news stories. One recent example is one that I brought up In the Q&A awhile back and which Sir Bernie addressed again later on if I recall correctly; that is, mainstream media reports that these red states actually have higher incidents of violent crimes than blue states. While this may be true, the part that always gets (conveniently) omitted is that the violent crimes that are occurring in the predominantly red states are actually occurring in the BLUE areas of the state—-high violent crimes occur most often in urban areas like St. Louis & Kansas City Missouri areas that are run by Democrats. “Journalists & reporters” in fhe lamestream media somehow suffer from selective amnesia when reporting in these news stories, hence it stands to reason that the statistics on which races get suspended more often and why are likely skewed by the reporters just like the crime stats are. Just sayin ‘
