Who does he think will lead the GOP when Trump and his MAGA sycophants are finally in the rear view mirror? And will it be enough to win the next General election?
Oh, that was back when the website used Disqus. That platform drove me crazy at times. Thankfully, Substack doesn't seem to come with weird defaults like that.
I certainly find it refreshing that I don't have to worry about Discus hall monitors over here. Once on TD I got censored because I made a reference to people being murdered on Game of Thrones. Then I had to repost it using creative spellings and euphemisms. Although my original comment did pop up 2 days later.
Yes, it was a mess for us too. One thing I did think was funny, however, was that there was one regular commenter who kept typing the same MAGA talking points time after time that Disqus assumed he was a bot, and kept sending his comments directly to a review status. It made him so angry. Lol.
I actually do fear this will eventually happen, even though I share your skepticism that the majority of Americans support it.
Because it's really the case that (1) Trump is doing permanent, irreversible harm to not just the country, but the world and (2) Impeachment and the 25th Amendment are both de facto dead; then isn't the next conclusion to draw, that the only way to rid the world of Trump, is to remove him in that manner?
So, what do you think is the likelihood that there will at least be a serious attempt on Trump's life before his term is up? Or even a conspiracy to take out both Trump and Vance?
Re Fanone: I don't blame him for his words, but I must admit I really do worry about him losing his cool. I understand Dunn and others, had to help hold him back from physically attacking people at that hearing. Because if he does, then Jeanine Pirro will be (over)charging him for that ASAP. And as a person, too. Harry Dunn and other former Capitol Police who are vocal about 1/6, don't seem to have the same level of PTSD. I fear that he will eventually self - harm, as well.
John- I can forward to you a gift link behind the paywall for the Noonan piece. I think your answer to that particular question would be better if you actually read the piece the questioner referenced.
Oh, I KNOW my answer would have been better, since I was unsure of the context. Anyway, thanks for the offer, but another commenter just clued me in that her WSJ pieces later go up on her personal website, so I'll check it out there. Thanks!
Question for Bernie for the 100th.

Peggy Noonan’s columns in the WSJ can be read for free on her website, peggynoonan.com. Not on the same day as on the WSJ. A few days later.
Thanks for the tip!
Can you still say fuck on this website? For a friend
I mean, if you really want to, Bob.
Before I couldn't even say Archibald Cox without tripping the censor.
