IIRC… before the United States entered World War II, the American Communists were isolationists who wanted America to remain neutral regarding the war in Europe. It wasn’t until Hitlet’s forces attacked Soviet Russia that the leftist American Communists wanted the U.S. to fight against Hitler. The more things change….the more they remain the same.
