I have always considered myself a mainstream center-right conservative. I have always appreciated smart, insightful commentary. I currently subscribe to National Review and I did to Weekly Standard while it was still with us in print. I am also an original subscriber to The Dispatch, a place where I find my perspectives both challenged and largely shared. This is the reason that I also now subscribe to you Bernie and am happy at the opportunity to participate in intelligent discussion. My question is this: moving forward in time, is there a place for relevant conservative critique, analysis and discussion that might be able to swing the pendulum back into normal ranges? Will those of us who had to back out of the Fox orbit always be contained within a small remnant of movement conservatism? I consider myself more an optimist than a " Debbie Downer". But my faith is strained at the seams nowadays.

So, to bash Trump you offered your words of hate for free? Tucker Carlson speaks words of wisdom every night, and has great interviews on Fox Nation. Instead of bashing Trump & Fox, and complimenting those grandstanding pricks who quit- for attention of course- you should apologize for YOUR BIAS! I'm sure your tipped your hat to the Lincoln Project skunks too. How'd that turn out?

Delusional. Carlson doesn't speak "words of wisdom." He's a performative hack who tosses out any conspiracy-fueled, bad-faith, vitriolic boob-bait he thinks can pop a rating with the MAGA base. You think Hayes and Goldberg quit for attention? Everything Carlson does is for attention — specifically ratings. He doesn't believe a fraction of what he says on TV (his Fox colleagues and longtime friends are well aware of this). He plays his audience for fools every night. The guy switches his ideology and positions (at least his television persona does) every time he gets a new cable news gig. He's every bit as dishonest and hostile to conservatism as the Lincoln Project (a group that Bernie, Jonah, and Steve are all longtime, vocal critics of). Sorry you've fallen victim to Tucker and his grift, but you're certainly not alone.

You've been had as your ability to reason has been plucked from the cerebral cortex by the mindless propaganda of vaccinated shills like Tucker. Wake up my friend. Once you've swallowed a lie, everything after that is also a lie and your credibility is gone.

All the people I liked on FNC have gone. Shep Smith, Leyland Vittert, James Rosen, Chris Stirewalt, Catherine Herridge.. All that's left are are bunch of Trump sycophants apart from maybe Brett Baier and Chris Wallace. I don't watch it anymore and can't say I miss it.

No matter what I write these people who agree with you Bernie are as lost as you were, are and always will be concerning President Trump, whom you and everyone else who says just Trump, bashes. Too bad. You never thought Trump had a chance at being elected and everything you have ever written about him since is tinged, tainted with that memory. Now as the next 3 years unfold and the plethora of disastrous federal policies from the truly corrupt (Russian hoax perpetrator), mendacious (many, many choices here for example), do-nothing-to-be elected and mentally incompetent President Biden and his true sycophants, all I can do is wonder at the 7 million plus voters (where are they?) over Trump's electors, where are they? Mail-in ballots are the way to go!! Well-Goldberg and Hayes did the wrong thing, and who knows, in the same vein as these currently electred, repulsive Federal Democrats, Goldberg and Hayes MUST HAVE sexually harassed female Fox employees who are bring charges against them! Hah...Lies to not be believed but will be nonetheless. Even a whiff of falsehood is Truth...
